Mark is a venture builder and sustainability innovation leader with more than 25 years of experience helping technology companies grow from early-stage innovation to commercial success. His career spans venture capital, corporate innovation, economic development, and startup acceleration, with deep expertise in investment strategy, venture creation, and ecosystem building.

Mark is currently Co-founder and Partner at LongLeaf Studios, a venture studio focused on building companies addressing climate and sustainability challenges. Previously, he co-founded SeaAhead, one of the earliest venture platforms dedicated to blue technology, and helped establish GE's cleantech venture investment practice. He has also served as Director of Economic Development for the City of Providence, where he helped launch Rhode Island's early bluetech innovation ecosystem and supported the development of biotechnology and startup initiatives.

As a Strategic Advisor to Nexus BioStrategy, Mark provides guidance on venture strategy, commercialization, strategic partnerships, investment readiness, and innovation ecosystem development. His experience connecting entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, and research institutions helps clients navigate the path from breakthrough technologies to scalable businesses.
