Krishna is a global technology executive with 15+ years of experience in turning deep scientific expertise into AI-driven digital strategy, commercial value, and IP across agricultural and RNA biotech. He specializes in bridging R&D science and business execution — building foundational Data, AI, and technology platforms that de-risk innovation, defend IP, and accelerate speed to market. 

 

As the Senior Director, Research Informatics for Strand Life Sciences, he currently leads the 0-to-1 buildout of the newly formed Agriculture and Animal Health Technology vertical. Serving as the techno-commercial business head, he defines the go-to-market strategy for monetizing Strand’s scientific informatics offerings across large ag, biologicals, and biotech trait clients. Previously, as Senior Director of Data Science at GreenLight Biosciences, Krishna founded and led the enterprise Data & AI organization that included Data Science, Data Management and AI/BI to power R&D, Regulatory, and Manufacturing decisions. He architected the AI and Regulatory bioinformatics systems behind Calantha™, the world's first foliar-applied RNA biopesticide. His team won the 2024 Databricks GenAI World Cup, and his work shaping investor narratives around AI and IP strength supported fundraising and the company's 2022 IPO. Krishna also contributed to the establishment and enforcement of stage-gate frameworks for product development as part of the R&D Leadership team.

 

Prior to that, at Monsanto/Bayer Crop Science and Grassroots Biotechnology, Krishna wrote Machine Learning algorithms that powered critical transgenic crop products through RNA molecule design spanning gene expression and genome editing. These foundational algorithms contributed to the multi-billion-dollar trait pipeline, leading to multiple commercialized crop products. An inventor on multiple patents and publications, Krishna is well-positioned to advise founders and executive teams on AI/data strategy, R&D-to-commercial translation, and technology partnerships.
